Samsung's Bixby to Team Up with Google

Samsung recently announced at this year's CES event that the company's smart assistance Bixby will work with Google apps such as Google Play, Google Maps, YouTube, and Gmail, with an aim to tap growing demand for "connected life on the go," the China Times News reported on January 11. The company stated that Google apps support will certainly smarten up its Bixby to ensure that it will be interoperable with more AI (Artificial Intelligence) and scalable platforms of different sectors such as smart home devices like smart air conditioner, washer, and refrigerator, aside from smartphones. While some of the popular Google and Android apps are likely to have built-in Bixby soon, many of Samsung's smart home gadgets, to be launched in 2019, such as QLED and premium TVs will be able to understand Bixby voice commands as well.
